Its in those moments of resounding deafness
The world aloof, the surrounding chatter- trains and people fade
The cold floor against my legs ,arms and forehead as I bow
In gratitude
In admiration
To this very life, heart beating that life
breathing in, out
Slow rhythmic chest-up, down
A hand twitch,
A nose itch,
A tingle in my feet
A prayer, a chant
A moment of being here.
And its only now, stripped naked
Alone and vulnerable
In flesh and bones
Facing me, eyes filled
That I see you.
