I have no time,
I have no sleep
yet the world stands still now.
I can feel your cold gaze,
gaze of urgency.
It rushed through me
making me sit upright
with my eyes staring into the laptop screen.
I began typing,
and it went on and on
with no plan and thinking.
Slowly, I planted a tree
roots strong, and body firm
its green leaves spread out wide
far and high,
shading the distant lands.
And when my fingers finally paused,
I realise the time that went by
crying and screaming,
for the deaf me.
When you finally left,
I drink my Birthday tea
and sit back reading
this poem that I just posted in glee.
